Material Handler

Job Description


Manages safely storing, organizing, relocating, and staging of raw materials needed to supply screen and digital print processes. Will also be responsible for loading, unloading material deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory counts, segregating and processing of non-conforming materials, tracking of materials between our two locations, accurately receiving materials upon arrival into the MRP system, updating inventory discrepancies discovered into the MRP, picking product for sales, prepping product for shipment, and scanning products into and out of our inventory database.

Key Responsibilities

Issuing and staging of raw materials for production
Providing raw material and paperwork to the next manufacturing operation
Maintain a high level of cleanliness at all times
Maintain accurate inventory levels in the MRP system
Receive and verify all incoming inventory in a timely manner
Keep raw inventory organized
Verify physical inventory for purchase orders or RMAs (returns) and communicate discrepancies to customer service or purchasing agent.
Prepare packs, cartons, or pallets for shipment and process through the UPS or FedEx shipping system.
Perform needed cycle counts on a weekly basis to ensure inventory level accuracy.
Drive a dock truck as needed. (Medical card required)
Forklift operation
Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications/ Requirements

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to kneel, crouch, twist, bend, and ascend and descend stair/ladder. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to work in a FAST-PACED, TEAM environment; be self-motivated; detail orientated; previous FORKLIFT experience preferred (or the ability to attain and maintain an Express Image, Inc. forklift training certification); perform basic math, reading and writing; and have a very strong/dependable attendance history.
